The Sons of the Ministry (SOTM) began in 1986 by Bishop J. Berry Adkins. It is a fellowship of churches whose pastors were sons and mentees of Bishop Adkins or another SOTM pastor.

Each church is its own individual body that has its own services, conferences, seminars, and sessions. The churches and ministries met as a whole during the year to trade ideas, thoughts, and visions. Each church supports the other churches wholeheartedly.

While the Sons of the GBIDHOR Ministry function as an organization and family of churches, the organization and its churches fall under the authority of the Great Buelahland Fellowship (GBF) (http://www.gbfellowship.info/), following all the tenants and rules of the GBF.
